Originality is nice, but I drive my Alfas every day in DC traffic. I'm a firm believer in the 3rd brake light as a way to keep Chevys, Fords and assorted Japanese machinery from shortening my trunk. This unit is from a late 80's Dodge Aries (when Alfa had an agreement with Chrysler, so it's kinda kosher) mounted on a pedistal I made and covered with black vinyl. A single wire to a simple piggy-back connecter at the rear taillight and a lead to a ground screw make it work with the regular brake lights.
